Patricia Bibby Retires after 34 Years of Supporting Communities
/Patricia ‘Tricia’ Bibby is retiring today from her long career in administration in the community sector. We’re sad to lose her expertise in community finances but we’re delighted for her as she sets off to enjoy her retirement!
After a job with a building and civil engineering company, Tricia came to work for the Waveney Community Association in 1985 as an Administrator and then moved on to become Admin Manager with Action for Community Employment (ACE).
When Brian Holmes started the Priority Estates Project and then Estate Action Project in the 1980s, Tricia worked alongside Brian in those early days providing financial and admin support. As those small, local projects grew into NITAP and then into the present-day Supporting Communities, Tricia was there to hold the fort and keep the books right!
For 34 years Tricia has seen us grow and change and her institutional memory will be sorely missed. As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary, everyone at Supporting Communities thanks Tricia for being a huge part of it all.
Theresa Patton, our Head of Finance and Governance, reflects over her own 30 years of working with Tricia in the head office, “Tricia has been a fantastic asset to the Admin Team, to the organisation and to the many Community Groups who she has assisted over the years. Many of us have learned so much from Tricia’s wealth of knowledge in Finance and Administration. Tricia will be greatly missed by us all at Supporting Communities and on behalf of the Admin Team I would like to wish Tricia a long, healthy and happy retirement.”
Congratulations on your retirement, Tricia!
