Disability Action, working with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and supported by Supporting Communities, set up the Disability Forum in June 2011.
The Disability Forum is part of the existing Housing Community Network (HCN) and focuses specifically on housing issues affecting people with disabilities.
The Forum is made up of people with different disabilities from across the Housing Community Network in Northern Ireland.
Supporting Communities promotes best practice in Community Participation in Northern Ireland through a 'grassroots' approach to Community Development, providing tailored support, advice, information and training to new and existing Community Groups, Statutory and Voluntary Organisations
This 8-week course looks at the intersection of Tenant Participation and Community Development and is suitable for those working in social housing as well as community workers that engage with social housing providers.
